Food Grade Lube. As an alternative, you can do the following long-term fix: Add a small amount (2 drops) of 2-Part Epoxy in both slots of the white end cap. Then, turn the cap two or three times to allow the epoxy to coat the inside the cap. Let dry per epoxy instructions... All done!
